            ระบบอาหารโลกกำลังเผชิญกับการเปลี่ยนแปลง ทั้งจากความผันผวนของสภาพภูมิอากาศ ความเหลื่อมล้ำด้านโภชนาการ การสูญเสียความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และการเกิดโรคเรื้อรังต่างๆ ขณะเดียวกัน มนุษยชาติก็กำลังก้าวสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งสำคัญ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการขยายบทบาทของปัญญาประดิษฐ์ การพัฒนาชีววิทยาสังเคราะห์ ตลอดจนการมองอาหารในมิติใหม่ที่ไม่เพียงแค่เป็นแหล่งพลังงาน แต่ยังเป็นองค์ประกอบพื้นฐานของสุขภาพแบบแม่นยำ (Precision Health)

            ระบบอาหารแห่งอนาคตในปี พ.ศ. 2573 จึงเป็นทั้งแนวคิดและคำเชิญชวนให้ร่วมสร้างอนาคตที่เหมาะสมกับโลกยุคใหม่ โดยยึดหลักว่าไม่มีนวัตกรรม หน่วยงาน หรือประเทศใดที่จะสามารถฟื้นฟูระบบอาหารได้เพียงลำพัง แนวคิดนี้จึงเน้นความร่วมมือระหว่างนักวิทยาศาสตร์ เกษตรกร ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยี นักออกแบบ ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย และภาคประชาชน เพื่อพัฒนาระบบอาหารเชิงฟื้นฟูบนสามเสาหลักที่เชื่อมโยงกัน ได้แก่ การเติบโตแบบพึ่งพาอาศัยกัน ปัญญาประดิษฐ์และอนาคตของอาหาร ตลอดจนแนวทางปฏิบัติเชิงฟื้นฟู

            โดยประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพสูงในการเป็นพื้นที่ต้นแบบสำหรับการร่วมสร้างอนาคตของอาหารในระดับโลก ด้วยความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพทางการเกษตรที่โดดเด่นในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก มรดกทางอาหารของไทยครอบคลุมพืชที่สามารถบริโภคได้มากกว่า 3,000 ชนิด เช่น ขมิ้น ขนุน กะเพรา ผำ เห็ดแครง และอัญชัน อีกทั้งยังมีโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ที่เข้มแข็ง ภาคเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพที่กำลังเติบโต และวัฒนธรรมอาหารที่หลากหลาย ทำให้ประเทศไทยกลายเป็นรากฐานสำคัญสำหรับการออกแบบระบบอาหารแห่งอนาคต ขอชวนมาร่วมออกแบบระบบอาหารร่วมกันในงาน Future Food System Conference

            The global food system is in flux. Climate volatility, nutritional inequality, biodiversity loss, and chronic disease are no longer distant threats, they are current realities. At the same time, we stand on the edge of powerful transformations: the rise of artificial intelligence, the maturing of synthetic biology, and a new understanding of food not just as fuel, but as a form of precision health infrastructure.

            The Future of Food System 2030 is a framework and an invitation to co-create the food future we need. It recognizes that no single innovation, actor, or nation can repair the system in isolation. It calls for radical collaboration among scientists, farmers, technologists, designers, policy-makers, and citizens to build a regenerative food system grounded in three interwoven pillars: symbiotic growth, AI & the future of food, and regenerative practices.

            Thailand is uniquely positioned to serve as a testbed for global co-creation. As one of the most agriculturally biodiverse countries in the Asia-Pacific region, it has a food heritage that includes turmeric, jackfruit, holy basil, butterfly pea, wolffia, split gill mushroom and over 3,000 edible plants. With its strong medical tourism infrastructure, an emerging biotech sector, and vibrant culinary culture, the country is fertile ground for designing future food systems.
